On August 10, 1922, in Vienna, Petko Staynov marries Stefanka Mandadjieva, also from Kazanluk. His future wife has studied music in Viennaq which helps her considerably during their life together. At the beginning of 1924, they both return to Kazanluk, where Petko Staynov revives the local singing society – higher form of amateur art activities, and energizes the concert performances of its choir and orchestra.

Petko Staynov can never be understood, if one is not aware that a kind and sublime figure stands by him, who with her boundless kindness inspires meaning and gives warmth to his life, while removing that which would have been the most difficult and which would certainly have killed creativity – the loneliness, i.e, the real darkness.” “Mir” newspaper, 1937
